Survivalist: Pack
In certain TTPRG campaigns, the ability to survive the environment (not just battle encounters) is a crucial part of the story and game. Characters who are developed to be good at knowing how to beat the odds are invaluable.
What is a Survivalist
Whether it’s a weekend camping trip or you are trying to outlast an apocalypse you know exactly what it takes to survive. Your trusty survivalist pack has everything in it that you have carefully gathered to stay alive in any situation.
The fantasy Survivalist
Survivalists are a natural character for fantasy campaigns using systems like Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder, especially where the DM is stricter on mechanics surrounding, food, shelter, encumbrance and rest.
Rangers and rogues are Fantasy character archetypes that work well as survivalists. Make sure to focus on skills around constitution, dexterity, survival and nature to make the most out of the build.
The Urban Survivalist
For games that are set in a more urban setting, the Survivalist is a great choice for horror or post-apocalyptic campaigns. They are great characters for digging up information or being able to access data and lore. Whether your survivalist takes the form of an ex-Girl Scout or stay-at-home mom who is battling the wilds to get away from zombies or a hardened war veteran who has no problem doing what needs to be done to survive, there are sure to be epic characters in a game.

Worth noting
If your Dungeon Master (DM) or Game Master (GM) allows you to then get these items before the game starts or if you don’t have the gold for it yet then you can pick up the items as you go. Just be sure to let your DM know that you want to do that so they are prepared.
